Our Story
Why a 36-year insurance career led to a ministry in Vietnam.
Meet Scott Meinke
Scott Meinke spent 36 years in the insurance industry before founding Did Over Should. It was there, buried in the fine print of property policy, that he first noticed the parallel that would define this ministry: co-insurance, the rule that a property’s insured value must be honestly maintained or a penalty applies at the time of loss.
That single clause reframed how Scott understood grace. Most religions teach “do” — earn your way in through good works. Christianity teaches “done” — the debt was already paid. Did Over Should exists to live out what comes after that truth sinks in: not earning grace, but responding to it.
Scott now splits his time between the U.S. and Vietnam, working alongside local pastors and church leaders to build ministries that outlast any single donor or visit.

[PLACEHOLDER — still needed before publishing: tax-exempt/501(c)(3) status and EIN if applicable, year founded, board or leadership structure, and how donated funds are governed and audited. Donors weighing a gift look for exactly this — leaving it out costs credibility, and so does guessing at it.]
